CANDLE POURING FOR IMPACT

Candle-making workshops are a fun and social way to spend time on the weekends among friends/family and a great way to learn a new skill! Did you know at the MADE by DWC boutique in Downtown Los Angeles you can do just that while also making an impact to the organization. Recently, the Liverpool team spent the weekend learning about the art of candle-making and we’re excited to share with you!

The workshop takes place at Downtown LA’s Made by DWC Boutique and is hosted by their production space artisans. These women currently provide 1200+ hours of training for up to 30 women annually as a part of their transitional employment program. The qualified artisans lead you in a step-by-step candle making process while discussing how creating and selling their candles provides opportunities for women experiencing homelessness.

The workshop includes 3 hand-poured soy candles made by you! How amazing is that!

Who doesn’t love candles? They light up a room with serenity, smell amazing and - the best part - if you join this candle-making workshop you know you will be making a positive impact in someone’s life. Learn more about participating in the next workshop and making a difference through the Downtown Women’s Center by visiting the website here.

We would like to thank the DWC and Made Boutique for a weekend of candle-making and giving back.  Give them a follow on Instagram, @DWCweb & @madebydwc.   Stop by the DWC and shop, volunteer or ask what you can do to contribute to your community.

Don’t forget to show us how you’ve styled your Liverpool essentials by tagging us on Instagram using the hashtag #LiverpoolLosAngeles.
